Room 14 Art

For the last couple of weeks Room 14 have been doing amazing artwork from sketches to charcoal. In
total we have done a sketch  in pencil which we put on are who am I.

We did a  drawing in charcoal so we knew to shade.

And we have also have done  a chalk portrait which we did a sketch with white chalk and after that we did chalk pastels which have  different colors.

Mine is the picture below.

I hope you like my picture!

ROOM 14 PORTRAITS

                                              Room 14 Portraits

On week two, room 14 started our process of our portraits.

First we did the pencil sketches.
We took a photo of ourselves and used it instead of mirrors.
Everyone in our class did lots of detail to it to try and make it a bit more realistic.

The week after we did the pencil sketches we clipped a piece of see through plastic on to our photos, drew over it with sharpie and stuck then on the windows. We were looking at the outline.
I'm surprised we didn't get into trouble because now it looks like we drew on the windows!

The next step we drew our faces on grey paper with chalk. It took a long time to get all of the details correct this time.
After doing a week of outline, we started off with the shading and then went on to the skin tone.
We mixed lots of browns and paler colours to make the perfect skin tone that matches us.
The hair was harder, we had to colour by stroking down in lots of little lines and rub in the lines lightly the same way drew them.

THIS IS HOW THEY LOOK LIKE FROM
                              BEGINNING TO END!

Invisible pet

My pets habitat is the forest. Its one of the smartest animals. It loves bananas. For fun it swings and it does tricks. It can crack codes and disable bombs..... tick tick tick.
It protects humans like family. It has lots of fur and every infant gets to get piggy back when they travel that would be pretty cool.
Do you know who my pet is yet?

My Invisible Pet

What, what is an invisible pet ? well mine is ... for me to know and for you to find out or maybe only for me to know and you never to find out.

My invisible pet is not a small cat or dog. No, mine is more superior it's more powerful than a snow leopard. It's stronger than a panther and has eyesight eight times more powerful than ours. It is more dangerous than a lion and it is as smart as well..... as smart as it is.

It has different techniques to catch its prey. It likes to hide in long grass and then pounce.  Its prey is a deer or a harder challenge .... a big fat strong..... what?

If you thought a boar you would be correct!
My animals colors are black and orange.
WHAT IS IT ?
My answer is ............(ha ha ha you don't really think I'm going to tell you but  I will give you a clue.)

The biggest of the big cats!!

The Mysterious Invisible Pet

This specific thing
I'm sure catches its prey in one swing.
It then takes its catch up high
and feeds it to its young who have a very curious eye.
Soon it will teach those little ones how to fly
feel every feather in every flap now that's their guide.
Before long those little ones are flying before their fathers eyes.
Swinging, swooping, catching prey
and soon it will be their turn to lay.
They will teach their little ones every thing they know
and they will have played to their highest motto.

Now that was a short clip,
of the lives of my pick.
I chose one out of my favourite two
thinking harder and harder, then I presented it to you.
I'll even give you a short description
its got long wings with feathers and I'll tell you this.....
It doesn't squawk "cock-a-doo-dle-do".

Hope you guessed my animal :-)
