ROOM 14 PORTRAITS

                                              Room 14 Portraits

On week two, room 14 started our process of our portraits.

First we did the pencil sketches.
We took a photo of ourselves and used it instead of mirrors.
Everyone in our class did lots of detail to it to try and make it a bit more realistic.

The week after we did the pencil sketches we clipped a piece of see through plastic on to our photos, drew over it with sharpie and stuck then on the windows. We were looking at the outline.
I'm surprised we didn't get into trouble because now it looks like we drew on the windows!

The next step we drew our faces on grey paper with chalk. It took a long time to get all of the details correct this time.
After doing a week of outline, we started off with the shading and then went on to the skin tone.
We mixed lots of browns and paler colours to make the perfect skin tone that matches us.
The hair was harder, we had to colour by stroking down in lots of little lines and rub in the lines lightly the same way drew them.

THIS IS HOW THEY LOOK LIKE FROM
                              BEGINNING TO END!

  1. Wow! So amazing! I am impressed and blown away at the same time. I really wish I could draw like that. Maybe if I was in Room 14 then it would help!

    Keep up the great work,
